String Transport Systems Limited (STS Limited) is a bulk commodities freight and haulage transportation provider.
STS Limited is committed to environmental protection and pollution prevention and recognises that such a commitment is integral to the long-term success of its business. To this end, the environment will be a key consideration during the exploration, construction, operation and implementation of a bulk commodities freight and haulage rail infrastructure.
STS Limited will comply with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations and will strive to continually improve environmental performance. Continual improvement will be achieved through the development and implementation of a detailed environmental management system. The system will address environmental risks, list legal requirements, set environmental objectives and targets, describe environmental management and contingency measures and monitoring programs through environmental management plans. Environmental performance will be regularly evaluated against the targets set.
STS Limited will consult with local community in which it operates. The Environmental Policy shall be made publicly available and will be communicated to all employees and contractors. STS Limited will also ensure an appropriate level of resourcing to implement its environmental management commitments throughout all phases of its development and implementation.
